Abstract
Terrain desertification is the terrain destruction caused by climatic changes, human activities and other relevant factors in drought and semi-drought or humid and semi-humid regions. The processes lead to the reduction and loss of potentials of land ecological and economic productivity.China is one of the countries with the biggest area of global desertification, the most widespread of distribution and the worst hazards. The terrain conditions are still critical at the present day, although the problems has been initially controlled,in expansion of desertification and sandy land,by the adoption of a series of remedy measures.
