Abstract

The technological rout for the preparation of cyclohexanone formaldehyde resin with good properties from cyclohexanone and formaldehyde and the optimum process conditions are described. It was found that the optimum reaction temperature is 50-100℃ and the optimum atom ratios of reactants are as follows:cyclohexanone/formaldehyde=1∶(1 12-1 20),toluene/cyclohexanone=0 94∶1.Under these conditions the product yield was 92% and the conversion of cyclohexanone was 94%.
