Abstract
Using field work materials,this paper finds that the subordinate complex sentences in Xinjiang Chinese dialect has its own features—different conjunctions.Sometimes several patterns in Putonghua Chinese correspond to one or two patterns in Xinjiang Chinese dialect and vice versa;sometimes,there is no correspondence between the two at all.Compared with Putonghua Chinese,Xinjiang Chinese dialect tend to use more parataxis and contracted sentences.
