Abstract
A protecting aluminum coating on the magnesium alloy surface was obtained by electro-arc spraying. In order to enhance the combination between magnesium alloy matrix and aluminum coating, the sample was heat-treated at temperature 430℃ for two hours. A diffusion layer was formed between the matrix and the coating. The coating with excellent corrosion resistance was firmly combined with the matrix.
