Abstract

Objective To explore the expression of ANNX-Ⅰ in human articular cartilage in patients with osteoarthritis(OA)and its significance.Methods Expression of ANNX-Ⅰ was assayed in 5 normal cases(control group)and 12 cases of OA articular cartilage by western blotting.Results The level of ANNX-Ⅰin OA cartilage samples(1.27±0.39)was lower than that in control group(1.72±0.22,P0.05).Conclusions ANNX-Ⅰ may play an important role in cartilage deganeration such as inflammatory process and chondrocyte apoptosis.
