Abstract
In this paper,we do some research on Mid-field drag prediction method which is based on airfoil drag decomposition method.Mid-field drag prediction method is a new method,and this method can decompose total drag into drag components such as wave,profile,induced and spurious drag which is due to the effects of the numerical diffusion and error.The computation results show that Mid-field drag prediction method has two advantages compared to Near-field drag prediction method and Far-field drag prediction method:this method can decompose total drag into drag components which can be used to analysis the drag generation mechanism,also this method needs less grids.
