Abstract
A preliminary study assessed the allelopathy of different aqueous extracts of Solidago canadensis L. and Solidago decurrens Lour, aerial part on the root growth of Phaseolus radiatus L. , Brassica oleracea var. botrytis,, Raphanus sativus L. . , Lactuce indica and Triticum aestivum. The result showed that Solidago canadensis L. suppressed the root growth of all crops more serious than Solidago decurrens Lour, under the same concentration. And with the increasion of the concentration, Solidago canadensis L. enhanced its inhibition on the tested crops evidently.
