Abstract
Making adsorbent of activated carbon from surplus sludge by means of chemical activation was investigated.Different activators were compared and factors affecting adsorption of activated products were studied. The results showed that at the conditions including using 3 mol/L ZnCl2 as activator at 550℃ with the ratio of solid to liquid as 1∶2.5 for two hours of pyrolysis time, the iodine adsorption capacity of prepared activated carbon was 317.4mg/g,and the specific surface area was 232.526 m2/g.It had a good performance when adopted the absorbent to remove COD of simulated wastewater.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
