Abstract

Variable action of Al-25%Si alloy microstructure is studied in the condition of isothermal electromagnetic stirring.The samples are isothermally treated 0,10,20 and 30min at the temperatures of 580℃ and 600℃.The results show that primary silicon crystal fragmentation occurs in the course of stirring,the size of the primary silicon crystal tends to be constant after 20minutes and its phase tends to be in a homogenized distribution.
