Abstract
The objective is to investigate the effects of nitrogen fertilization on the yield and quality of Avena sativa. The results showed that there were significant responses of yield and quality of A.sativa to nitrogen application, and also the cultivated traits, yield and the yield components changed with nitrogen enrichment. There were the different significant linear regressions for the relationships between nitrogen fertilization levels and tiller height, stem diameter, and protein content in seed(R=0.9360,P0.01;R=0.9830,P0.01;R=0.8968,P0.01),while the relationship between nitrogen application levels and yield components, yield, seed production could be described as in the significant quadric regression(P0.01).The more experimental results were found that seed production of A.sativa reached the highest 4358.5kg/hm2 with the nitrogen fertilization 60kg/hm2;meanwhile,the maximum yield 22820kg/hm2(dry matter) when nitrogen fertilization was 75kg/hm2 was got.Based on the experiment, the best nitrogen fertilization level(60 and 75kg/hm2) for getting higher yield or seed production can be determined.
