Abstract
Semantic retrieval is a new research aspect of information retrieval ,It has become a useful tool of many fields .Based on essential characteristic of Semantic retrieval and the significance of Semantic retrieval are introduced ,the main ideas of existing Semantic retrieval algorithms are summarized .Some research directions about Semantic retrieval in future work are put forward.
