Abstract

The relations among solar proton event, solar flares and coronal mass ejection (CME) events were analyzed These solar events were recorded from 1991 to 1995 of the 22nd solar cycle 25 solar proton events were associated with solar flares and 23 of them were associated with CME events It was noticed that 16 flares associated with solar proton events were two-ribbon flares It means that 64% solar proton events studied were associated with two-ribbon flares Above mentioned statistics show that solar flare and coronal mass ejection play important roles in the occurrence of solar proton event And when CME event takes place associated with two-ribbon flare, the probability of occurrence of a solar proton event is higher It is possible that part of CMEs and solar flares may be produced by reconnection of a magnetic field and reconnection of a magnetic field is an important condition for occurrence of solar proton event
