The affect of indwelling venous needle placed in the dorsal hand vein for the first time to the application of the indwelling venous needle in the clinic.

Objective To discuss about the affect of indwelling venous needle placed in the dorsal hand vein for the first time to the application of the indwelling venous needle in the clinic. Methods The observer group includes 200 patients who were placed the indwelling venous needles in the dorsal hand vein near the middle finger when they were be placed the indwelling venous needles for the first time. The control group includes 200 patients who were placed the indwelling venous needles in the arm vein when they were be placed the indwelling venous needles for the first time. To compare the time of the patients accepting the indwelling venous needle, the attitude of the patients to the indwelling venous needle for the second time, and the evaluation of the patients to the indwelling venous needle between the observer and the controle group. Results The time of the observer group patients accepting the indwelling venous needle was (1.5min±12s) ,and the control group patients needed (9.5min±22s) to accept the indwelling venous needle. When the indwelling venous needles were placed for the second time, the agreed rate of the observer group patients was 47% , the agreed rate of the control group patients was 36%. P0.05, and the difference was sta-tistically significant. The evaluation of the patients to the indwelling venous needle was still very different between the two groups. The recognition rate of the observer group patients to the indwelling venous needles was 48% , and the recognition rate of the control group patients to the indwelling venous needles was 34.5% . Conclusion Indwelling venous needle placed in the dorsal hand vein near the middle finger for the first time will benefit the application of the indwelling venous needle.
