The Grain Manor Biding Booklet of Shengjing Baoyi in 29th of Kang xi Reign(3rd)

The grain manor of Shengjing upper three banners Baoyi,which is also called the grain manor of Shengjing Inner Fair Department,was set in early years of Sunzhi Reign.It was a manor of emperor's family in Qing Dynasty.In Qing Dynasty,the government controlled the servants of three banners Baoyi very strictly and provided that they must ask for leave when leaving residence and the amount of people must be checked out once every three years,which is called Biding in Chinese.The Biding booklet involved recorded the three generations of servants in the three banners including such information as the name,identity and his father and his grandfather's name and identity,which is not only the first hand materials in research of the population of Qing Dynasty,but the valuable historical materials for Manchu language and culture study.
