Survivability Policies in Multi-layer Network

Abstract

The integration of different layer technologies is one of the features of transport network. Themulti-layer network also introduces the problem about coordination of the individual layer restoration mechanics. In this paper, firstly the survivability problems in multi-layer network are discussed. Then some multi-layer survivability policies are analyzed in the IP/optical network. At last, the guidance for the selection of multi-layer survivability policies is concluded.
