Survey on knowledge and behavior among residents in Nanan district of Chongqing city

Abstract

Objective To understand the health knowledge and health behavivor of H1N1 of city and rural in Nanan.In order to provide a scientific basis for better carrying out health education. Method Questionnaire survey were conducted among 425 residents. Results The rates of health knowledge and health behavior of H1N1 were 64.5% and 39.0% among residents of city and rural areas.The rates of health knowledge and health behavior of H1N1 were 68.8% and 45.6% among residents of city areas.The rates of health knowledge and health behavior of H1N1 were 58.7% and 30.0% of rural areas.The rates of health knowledge and health behavior of H1N1 among city residents were higher than those of rural residents(P0.01).The major channel throngh which the residents obtained knowledge was TV newspaper and reading publicity materials. Conclusions The rats of health knowledge and health behavivor of H1N1 of city and rural in Nanan were low certainly.There was significant difference between the rates of health knowledge and health behavivor of urban and rural residents.Different intervention to certain residents should be applied to improve the rates of health knowledge and health behavivor of H1N1.
