Abstract
By selecting economic and industrial pollution data in Tangshan City from1991 to 2009 to establish Kuznets model for EKC of per capita GDP with pollution emissions,the paper analyses the succession relationship between economic growth and environmental pollution levels.The results show that in Tangshan City the relationships between per capita GDP and industrial wastewater emissions,industrial emissions,industrial solid waste generation are expressed respectively as the features of cubic polynomials,quadratic polynomials and linearity.In addition to EKC turning point for industrial wastewater,the industrial emissions and industrial solid waste generation are still on the rise.Therefore,it is of great significance to continuously improve the environmental awareness,strictly enforce environmental protection policies,adjust the industrial structure and reduce the generation and emission of industrial pollutants from the source,promoting the positive turning point of EKC to arrive early.
