Abstract
This paper studied the effect of the supplement of kanamycin, ceftaxime and carbenicillin on the germination of Chinese cabbage GP 11 seeds and in vitro regeneration of its cotyledon. The results showed that the seedling cotyledons completely became yellow and the number of lateral root was approximately zero when the concentration of kanamycin on germination media was raised to 200 mg/L.With the supplement of kanamycin, shoot, main root and lateral roots of GP 11 were inhibited. However, the germination rate and germination percentage did not change. No green shoot can be induced when cotyledons of 4 days seedling were cultured in reformation MS media which was supplemented with 10 mg/L kanamycin and some hormone, and percentage of green shoot was only 32 5% and 40 2% when the concentration of kanamycin was 7 5 mg/L and 5 mg/L,respectively.Little shoot completely lose the ability to root when kanamycin concentration in root media was only 3 mg/L.In shoot induced media added with 400 mg/L ceftaxime or carbenicillin, the percentage of shoot induction was zero, and there was no difference between ceftaxime and carbenicillin.Small shoot can normally root when cultured in media attached different concetration of ceftaxime and carbenicillin.
