Abstract

The dualistic epistemology is one of serious obstacles to the development of Chinese contemporary aesthetic theory,for this reason,the dualism between subject and object must be cast aside.Beauty is not ready-made object but exists in aesthetic activity,which is a starting point in aesthetic research and a basic practice of human beings,so the author advances a new view that beauty in a broad sense is a state of life.In brief,one of valuable attempts is to form practical existential aesthetics for giving impetus to Chinese aesthetic research.
