Abstract
On the basis Of electromagnetic induction principle, wellhead detection unit for rod defect is developed.It can solve successfully the problem on flaw detection of sucker rod defect.The paper presents operating principle,technical feature and field application of the wellhead detection unit.Application of the unit has a positive role to decrease rod fracture and prolong pump detection period.
