Abstract

Objective To explore the method and significance of nasal endoscopic surgery in microinvasive treatment of deviation of nasal septum. Methods The data of 106 patients with deviation of nasal septum treated with microinvasive nasal endoscopic surgery from 2001~2003 were retrospectively analyzed. Results After follow-up for 3~6 months,99 cases were cured, improvement was seen in 7 cases and no case failed. All patients with nasal septum deviation were successfully corrected with satisfactory ventilation in both sides of nasal cavity. No perforation or flop of nasal septum occurred in all cases. Conclusion Nasal endoscopic microinvasive surgery is a good technique for treatment of deviation of nasal septum, and it is worthy to be recommended.
