Abstract

To determine the content of free anthraquinons, combined anthraquinons and total anthraquinons from different medicinal parts of Rheum officinale,Agela Venusil XBP-C18(4.6 mm ×250 mm,5 μm) was used with methanol-0.1% posphoric acid solution as mobile phase at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min,the wavelength was set at 254 nm,temperature was set at 35 ℃.The results showed that 5 kinds of anthraquinons existed in different medicinal parts of R.officinale and the content was obvious different. The anthraquinons mainly distributed in root, stem and fibrous root, the physcione was not detected in stem, peliole blade and inflorescece. The contents of free anthraquinons, total anthraquinons and combined anthraquinons from fibrous root and root was higher than those of the other, which was much more underground part than that of the aboveground part. Methods established could be easily and exactly used to extract and content determination of anthraquinons in R.officinale and could provide scientific foundation for research and development of R.officinale.
