Abstract

The effect of fertilizer and water conditions on dry matter accumulation, partition and transportation of different types of rice was studied. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between yield and total dry matter accumulation, hy-brid rice had apparent advantage for dry matter accumulation after heading, high yielding conventional japonica rice varieties accumu-lated more dry matter compared with hybrid rice before heading. Sufficient water and fertilizer could promote the remobilization of dry matter, which was useful to increase grain yield. The exportation of dry matter would be restrained if fertilizer and water were absent. Leaf had higher dry matter exportation rate than culm and sheath did. So erect panicle rice variety had great dry matter exportation a-bility of leaf, culm and sheath, which was effective to increase grain yield.
