Vegetation Characteristics of Tongxihe Forest Region in Yinghua Mountain

Based on a field investigation from Tongxihe forest in the Yinghua Mountains,the structures of plant communities and the characteristics of species diversity of this region were analyzed.Richness,evenness and diversity indices of plant species in each layer of the forest were calculated.A total of 165 species belonging to 79 families and 135 genera were recorded.According to Raunkiaer's statistics of life-form,the phaenerophytes and hemicryptophytes were the dominant types.The leaf features of the community were mainly microphyll,simple,herbaceous and non-entire margin.In the secondary forests,the herb layer had the highest richness index,followed in order by the shrub layer and the tree layer.The species diversity index and evenness indices had a similar changing trend to the richness index,except in the community of miscellaneous shrub forest.The species diversity and richness index were the lowest in plantation forests.In the virginal forests,species diversity and evenness indices were in the order of the shrub layer the herb layer tree layer.
