STUDIES ON THE FAUNA OF ACRIDOIDEA IN XINJIANG,CHINA

Characteristics of faunal components of acridoids in Xinjiang may summarize as follows: 1) palaearctic species are the most, and widely-distributed species have only 2 species. 2) palaearctic species contains Pan-Palaearctic species, Centro-Asiatic species, Mediterranean species, Europe-Siberia species and Northeast species.3) among these faunal components, Centro-Asiatic species are the. most, Pan-Palaearctic species are the next, other faunal components are the least. 4) among 8 families, Pan-Palaearctic species are the most in Arcypteridae, Centro-Asiatic species are the most in Oedipodidae, There are 8 families of Acridoidea in Xinjiang and there are only 6 families of Acridoidea in oriental region. The genera and species of Catantopidae are the most common in China, but scarcity in Xinjiang comparatively.
