China's modern education is an education developed from her traditional education under specific circumstance of the time. The Qing Dynasty began the reform in education by absorbing the essence of the West's and mixing it with the Chinese at the same period when foreign invaders began to attack China, in order to sustain its feudal reins. Therefore, the education of literary theory that developed at the time, different in both form and content from the traditional, was the result of Western invasion. This explains the fact why China's education of literary theory is characteristic of the transition from ancient features to the present. The present paper restudies the necessity and probability of the above points.
