Abstract

In the feudal society,the culture of ritual ethics was a means of civilization which integrated morality,punishment and politics into an organic whole and left some deep impression on the political,economic,cultural and architectural systems.The residential buildings of the Qing dynasty carried with themselves rich implications of ritual ethics,including the brick carvings,stone carvings,wood carvings and colorful decoration that revealed the hierarchy,rituals and ethical criteria of the feudal society.The residential buildings of the Qing dynasty embody some fine cultural elements of China and have much vitality and wide application,whose protection and development has great significance.
