Abstract
Several nutrition were investigated for improving the ability to convert(S)-1-pheyl-1,2-ethanediol(PED)by Candida parapsilosis through deracemization. The results showed that complex nutrition were better than carbon source and nitrogen source. And nitrogen source can increase the value of yield of product. The value of enatiomeric excess(ee)and yield increased to 95.87% and 96.17% after beef extract and ammonium chloride were added at the same time into reaction solution. The batch cycles increased from 2 to 8 when alcohol or acetate sodium was added by acitvation of the enzymes in- volved in the deracemization reaction and coenzyme-regeneration reaction such as aldehyde dehydrogenase, alcohol dehydro- genase,glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and carbonyl reductase activity.
