Abstract
The preparation and applications of ZrO2 nano powders are introduced in this paper, the prospect of its applications is also predicted. At present, the main methods of preparing ZrO2 nano powders are chemical methods. Various methods such as coprecipitation, metal alkoxides sol-gel, reverse micelles, hydrothermal, solvent evaporation, azeotropic distillation method and chemical vapour method etc,are described and evaluated respectively. Meanwhile, the researches of ZrO2 nano powders?application are discussed. The sintering temperature of ceramics decreases, while the toughness and strength of ceramics are enhanced when ZrO2 nano powders are dispersed in the ceramics baseline. ZrO2 nano powders show excellent catalytic activity and selectivity when they are used as catalyst in catalytic hydrogenation and soil nitrogen fixation fields.
