Study on the Wood Characters of Eucalyptus Clone

The wood characters and fiber qualities of five series eucalyptus clone were investigated in the paper.The results showed the wood density of eucalyptus clone is 0.423～0.629 g/cm3,the cellulose and extractives contents of eucalyptus clone are relatively high,the contents of hemicellulose of eucalyptus clone are relatively lower compared with the common hardwood,but the chemical component of same breed in different area are highly diversified.The average fiber length of eucalyptus clone is 0.882～1.017 mm and the average width is 15.15～19.43 μm,all the index of wood character meet the requirement of the pulp for paper making.
