Abstract
The article studies the adsorption of the unprocessed humic acid(HA) and insoluble humic acid(IHA) on hexavalent chromium. The influences of reaction time,pH value, adsorbent quantity, and temperature on the removal rate are studied,to confirm the optimum reaction conditions of the two adsorbents. The article analyzes the adsorption of the two adsorbents on Cr(Ⅵ) through the contrast experiments.Experiments show that reaction time(180 min)by HA outclasses the time(60 min) by IHA when the adsorption is the largest;the reaction pH value range of IHA is wider than that of HA,having high-efficiency adsorption below 10,but HA only has efficient adsorption under high acidity conditions;the two adsorbents both have relatively high adsorption efficiency at normal temperature. But the adsorption efficiency for Cr(Ⅵ) by IHA(95%) is much higher than that of HA(80%).
