Abstract

In this paper, chiefly in aspect of car body, running gear and electric drive system, the development of light rail vehicles in the world is described, which involved the technologies of low floor, independently wheel and IGBT,etc. And the present application of light rails in 4 main types is discussed. The future development trend of light rail vehicles is analyzed.
