Abstract
Retinoic acid-inducible geneⅠ(RIG-Ⅰ) is a key innate immune pattern-recognition receptor that triggers type Ⅰ interferon,cytokine and chemotactic factor expression upon detection of intracellular double-strand RNA of viral origin.It plays an important role in the constructing of antiviral innate immunity.Researches on the mammal show that RIG-Ⅰ takes part in the inhibition of AIV,NDV,and so on.RIG-Ⅰ is absent in chickens and duck RIG-Ⅰ can initiate an antiviral IFN response in chicken cell line.This review provided an overview of mechanism of RIG-Ⅰ activation with an expanded discussion on the potentials of improving avian antiviral ability and enhancing basis researches of avian innate immunity.
