YanFu's Standpoint of the French Revolution and Its Resonance on China's Revolution

YanFu knew the history of the French Revolution so well that it only solidified his idea of a gradual reform for China.In his opinion,the French Revolution had no other merit than proving once again that it was infeasible for a radical revolution to complete the course of social structure transformation alone.And in an unfathomable way had his view of the French Revolution influenced his own perspective of China's revolution.In his view,radical revolution would do nothing but bring disasters to China just like back in France,let alone helping China with the social structure transformation.Therefore,China should follow progressive and gradual rules,which would proceed with educating the nation,aiming at enhancing national quality and finally build a strong and prosperous nation.
