On Lu Xun's Value Orientation of Spiritual Performance in His Early Literary Criticism

The fact that Lu Xun was the pioneer of value orientation of spiritual performance in modern Chinese literary criticism has not attracted sufficient attention in the academia.Lu Xun's value orientation in literary criticism was in accordance with the theory of spiritual performance in the general sense and had the characteristics of the age and himself,which manifested in his views on the occurrence,function and creative subject of literature and art.The value orientation of spiritual performance,pioneered by Lu Xun in modern Chinese literary criticism,is definite proof that the creative individual is of first importance in literary creation,and implies the general law of poetics discourse construction.However,there still exist some disadvantages in the theoretical construction such as insufficient theoretical contemplation and neglect of the inner connection between art form and subject soul.
