Abstract

Based on the half-through CFST arch bridge,Chengzhong Bridge in Jiangshan City,the calculating method of the dumbbell-shaped CFST arch bridge is studied.For the simplified calculation of the CFST arch rib,at present,the transformed section method and the uniform modulus method are usually used.Two planar finite element models are established separately according to the two methods mentioned above.At the same time,with the great general finite element program,the spatial element model is also established according to the true cross-section of the CFST arch rib.The theoretical results gained by the three methods are compared with the data from the experimental investigation,which can be reference for calculation of the similar bridges.
