An Overview of Educational Novels in the Qing Dynasty

Abstract
The educational novel was one kind of theme classification of Chinese ancient novels.Up to the Qing Dynasty,the development of educational novel has reached the prosperous crest,which is relateded to the social background of Qing Dynasty,the novelists' experience,as well as the previous generation of educational novel who had accumulated writing experience.Besides the lengthy educational novel Branch Road Lamp,the Qing Dynasty has produced nearly 130 short educational novels,among which vernacular novels center on family education,and displayed the obvious time characteristics.The innovation of literary style of educational novels mainly manifests in the theme development.
