Abstract
A detailed study of the geological and geochemical characteristics of the granite porphyry and zircon features were made and the single grain zircon U-Pb ages were determined at Basitaosayi and Mosizaotetao in Xinjiang. The results show an isotopic age of 241.3±3.6 Ma of magma crystallized zircons and a surface age of 292.3±5.6Ma of inherited zircon at the Basitaosayi. On the basis of the data the emplacement time of the two rock bodies is regarded as early Triassic(early Indosinian).
