Abstract

Phytoremediation with many advantages is one of the effective bioremediation approaches for organic pesticides. It mainly includes plant absorption, degradation of plant enzymes and the joint action of plant rhizospheric environment, etc. The definition and research history of phytoremediation were briefly introduced, the mechanisms of the phytoremediation and the models of phytoremediation for organic pesticides, and the findings in the research on using plants to remediate environment contamination with organic pesticides and their application by example of DDT were reviewed, and the main research areas in the future were pointed out.
