Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between bronchiectasis and gastroesophageal reflux disease in women. Methods:A total of 380 female patients with bronchiectasis who were treated in department of respiration in the hospital from 2009 to 2011 were evaluated by gastroesophageal reflux disease questionnaire;for the atypical patients, lower esophageal pH value monitoring was performed, the diagnostic criteria of gastroesophageal reflux disease included the total score12 and duration time of pH value4 more than 10 seconds. Results:A total of 48 female patients were found with bronchiectasis combined with gastroesophageal reflux disease, accounting for 12.6%.Among the 48 female patients,8 female patients had no typical symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease, accounting for 16.7%;40 female patients had typical symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease, accounting for 83.3%.The clinical manifestations of 10 female patients were upper abdominal and chest pain, the clinical manifestations of 19 female patients were heartburn, the clinical manifestation of 20 female patients was sour regurgitation, and the clinical manifestation of one female patient was dysphagia. Conclusion:The female patients with bronchiectasis are easily to combine with gastroesophageal reflux disease;for the female patients with bronchiectasis, when the therapeutic effects of conventional anti-infection and airway clean are not good enough, the possibility of gastroesophageal reflux disease should be considered,anti-acid treatment and anti-reflux treatment should be conducted to improve the therapeutic effect.
