Abstract
The purpose of this study was to assess the relatio nship between acute pulmonary injury induced by smkoe inhalation and levels of H A and LN. 40 rats were divided randomly into 5 groups, control group and experim ental groups of different length of time elapsed after smkoe inhalation. HA and LN in sera、bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)and lung tissue,as well as inf lammatory cells were determined; pulmonary pathgenic changes were detected by l ight and electron microscope. It was found that after smoke inhalation HA w as increased in sera and lung tissue with the peak values at 12h.The values in sera and lung tissue are 470.4±97.5μg/L and 697.5±115.1μg/L res pectively, while those of control groups are 186.4±31.5μg/L and. 202 .6±39.4μg/L respectively.HA in BALF was increased markedly at 18h, but L N of all groups showed no distinct change. Analysis of BALF showed the highest cell count at 12h,with neutral granulocytes as the main component. Increased H A might be used as an indicator of the acute pulmonary injury induced by smoke inhalation.
