Abstract

As an important political system in the Period of Spring and Autumn, the system of Fugao originated in West Zhou Dynasty and came to its climax in the Period of Spring and Autumn. Its existence influenced not only the relationships among states in the Period of Spring and Autumn, but also the formation of characteristics of social structure of that period. Its positive impact can also be found in the process of the first national amalgamation in the Period of Spring and Autumn.
