Abstract

The article studies the effects of the air-entraining additive on the capability of fresh concrete, the freeze ability, the cpmpressive resist ance, and the breaking strength of the concrete. It is found that under the same condition of slump and the same dosage of cement, the more air entraining additive is used, the more air content is, and the more the loss rate of compressive resistance. When air content is less than 6%, the tenacity of concrete increases with the air-entraining quantity. While air-entraining additive remains the same the air-entraining quantity in concrete changes as parabola, with the slump of mixing concrete increases. When the water using is the same, the more air-entraining additive is used, the more the slump of concrete is when the naphthaline-series water reducing agent and the air-entraining quantity are used together, and air content in concrete is reduced to some extent.
