Abstract
Objective To explore the value of X ray and CT in diagnosis of congenital esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula. Materials and Methods 7 cases of congenital esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula were evaluated.7 cases were examined by the plain film and esophagography,3 cases were examined by CT. Results There were 2 cases of typeⅠ,1 cases of type Ⅱ,4 cases of type Ⅲ.Routine chest and abdominal plain film could show gastric intestinal distension(4 cases),aspirated pneumonia(6 cases)and atelectasis of right upper lobe(2 cases),Esophagography could show the upper esophageal cecum(6 cases),the esophageal cecum and tracheoesophageal fistula were well revealed in CT(3 cases). Conclusion X ray and CT play an important role in diagnosis and classification of congenital esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula.
