Abstract
[Objective] The research aimed to study the impacts of cadmium pollution of water bodies on the seed germination and seedling growth of wheat and provide some basis for high yield and high quality cultivation of wheat.[Method] Different concentrations(0,1,5,30,100 mg/ L) of CdCl2 solution were used to simulate the water pollution of cadmium treated with young plants, and discussed its impacts on the seed germination and growth seedlings of wheat.[Result] The results showed that Cd2+ had significant inhibition on the growth of wheat seedlings. With the increasing concentration of Cd2+,soluble sugar and soluble protein reduced, but Pro,MDA content and permeability of membrane increased.Besides, root tops of young plants became tawny when the concentration of Cd2+ was 100 mg/L.[Conclusion] Cd2+ has significant inhibition on the seed germination and seedling growth of wheat.
