Abstract
Based on the analysis of concrete alternation elements, this article deduces a calculation formula about the continuous deck length. The width of the joint is reasonably defined provided that the deck is flat for a comfortable and ease movement. The is specified in a position, 60 cm away from the bridge beam end. This kind of joint is called expansion joint of deck sliding.
