Abstract
For the purpose of understanding the present nutrient conditions of the paddy soil in Guilin City os that the scientific basis could be provided to the fertilizer application after soil diagnosis ,the author carried out soil sample analysis for all paddy fields in Guilin City after the Autumn harvest in 1998.The total number of soil agrochemical samples was 3536.After analysis and comparing with the nutrient conditions in the second general survey of soil, the result showed that:Soil organic matter and soil total nitrogen tended to increase;soil rapidly available phosphorus did not change obviously, rapidly available potassium decreased a little bit;soil pHvalue tended to decrease.Inthis article ,the above mentioned results had been compared, analysed and studied in order to provide the scientific basis for soil fertility culture and reasonable fertilizer application.
