Abstract
Due to complexity of underwater explosion and ship dynamic response, the knowledge about ship dynamic response under conditions of underwater explosion is mainly from analysis of experimental phenomena and data. The shock wave and second pressure wave of underwater explosion were discovered in measurement results of underwater explosion, and hence in theoretical analysis and computing process on underwater explosion dynamic response of ship and its equipment, only shock wave is considered as a main applied source of force, and sometimes action of second pressure wave is also considered. But,some research workers found that bubble motion may be sometimes important for motion of ship equipment. In 1995,authors also discovered that the afterflow induced by bubble expanding of underwater explosion is an important energy-source for shock and vibration of ship equipment which has mounting frequency of several decade Hz,in experimental of underwater explosion on a floating shock platform. In recent years, number of papers on bubble motion of underwater explosion is increasing, but these papers do basically not deal with relationship between bubble motion and shockvibration of ship equipment. In underwater explosion tests of cylinder model of 2003, from another view authors check above conclusion with a set of more simple and explicit evidences.Obviously, this discovery is important not only for establishment of correct theoretical and computational model, but also for study of ship defense and underwater weapons.
