Abstract

Wen Xin Diao Long(The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons)is one of the most important and prestigious works of literary critique in the history of Chinese literary theories.Regarding the theoretical connotation of shi in the chap- ter cling shi,the intellectual world varies in understanding.The theory for shi in the chapter of ding shi in Wen Xin Diao Long has wide and time-honored cultural and historical foundation.Only by examining the relationship between Wen Xin Diao Long and the artistic theories of Chinese calligraphy can we accurately grasp the connotation of shi.
