Abstract
PA6 was mixed with maleic anhydride grafted ethylene-1-octene copolymer (POE-g-MAH) and the blends were subjected to both dynamical and static vulcanization. The dynamically vulcanized PA6/POE-g-MAH blends had higher yield stress, flexural modulus, notched Izod impact stress, and elongation at break than those by static vulcanized. SEM observation revealed that the number average diameter of elastomer particle size in the statically vulcanized blends increased with increasing elastomer volume fraction, however, that for dynamically vulcanized blends was hot affected.
